What a fantastic surprise!

Sure, my daughter has pink eye, my son is getting 4 teeth at once, my husband's boss was in a car accident and my husband is in the position of keeping the entire business afloat for the next three weeks, and I'm stressed as I could possibly be, trying to edit my novel and do an entire yearbook...

I needed something good to happen today.  Finding out we were getting a decent tax return (instead of owing like last year) was awesome.  But, the next thing was the icing on the cake:

Lookie, lookie what I just got in the mail!

It was a total surprise.  I had requested it ages ago, but she told me she had already run out, but she would check with her publisher to see if they were going to be doing anymore - though she didn't think it was likely.  So, I shrugged and pretty much forgot about it.  So, opening the mail ten minutes ago was such a shock!  And it's signed to me (real name taken out).  Yay!  I'm so excited.  :D

Doing the happy dance of happytonia!

    1. Whoo-hoo!

DeLorenzo is my maiden name, so it is my name, and C is my first initial - I just have just spelled it out and added the J to the front, as a mesh between the hubs' and my initials.

  10. I had an author (Navjot Kaur) Skype my class for World Read Aloud Day this year, and we just received two of her beautiful picture books in the mail this week -- signed with a sweet note to the kids and me! Not much better than signed books in the mail!! Yay!

    1. LOL, yeah, well, I'm a teacher and I write about sex. Sometimes it's better to keep your real name hidden in these cases. :D
