RWA Nationals or Bust!

Romance Writers of America logo

So, my journey has begun.  I'm sitting in the airport, waiting for my 10:55 am flight, and screwing around on my laptop because I'm an addict.

I laughed when I checked in my bag - it was 49.97 lbs - the weight limit for my free bag was 50 lbs.  Do I know how to pack or what? I used to do the same thing when I would buy our school supplies with our $100 budget our principal would give us from our warehouse every year - maximize my purchases down to within $.03 of the max.

Looking forward to meeting my CP Victoria H. Smith in person - we often talk on Skype.

Hope everyone has a great week!  I may post here and there, but I promise to report when I return.

If you aren't already following me on FB, come check out my page.  I'll be making updates on there of any cool news I find out.

Ta-ta for now!

  1. Have a great time! Need to have you pack for me - you're good.

  2. I kid you not I am always right at that 50 pound limit! Have fun!!! I'll give your page a follow :)

  3. Have fun!! I am thinking of going next year!!

  4. Hmmm...I may need to pick your brain about RWA. I have thought about joining but I don't know if I write romancey enough to be romance....?

  5. Hope you girls have a blast. Can't wait to hear all about it.

How in the H did you fit everything in one bag? You will have to write a blog post all about how you pack a bag. That takes skillz!

Have fun! Learn lots of stuff. Come back and hook us up with all of the insider information-LOL

  6. You're going to have to mail your ARCS and freebies back!
Have a great time and tell us all about when you return.

  7. Last year I flew home from Seattle from the PNWA conference, and my bag was like 55 lbs. Teller was all, "We're going to have to charge you an arm and a leg," and I was like "Wait!" and proceeded to chug several juice drinks that were in the suitcase.

Moral: I wish I had your packing ability.

  8. Have fun! I have had a good summer so far, but I am missing out on attending any conferences.
