Well, Alex has come up with another fun blogfest for people to participate in, and it's a nice short and sweet one, which means I have time to participate - yay!
List your favorite genre of:
Movie
Music
Books
And a guilty pleasure genre from any of the three categories!
Movie
This is kind of like asking me to pick a single star in the sky, but if I had to choose one it would be...
Fantasy.

Guilty Pleasure
I'll have to go with the movies on this one. My guilty pleasure fantasy movie is:

Willow! Oh my goodness, I totally forgot about that movie! Now I really want to watch it again lol!
ReplyDeleteMe, too. I may have to watch it this weekend when the hubby is working. :D
DeleteThat film has been on my 'to-watch' list for about twenty years! One day :-)
ReplyDeleteSarah! You're back! Sqeeeeeee! You should definitely watch Willow! It's a good one. :)
DeleteNever heard of Willow. Should I have. It sounds like something I should've seen.
ReplyDeleteI command you to see it now! I love it - hubby makes fun of me for that, but it's a young Val Kilmer. Nothing to hate about that!
Deleteawesome choices! yay willow!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Love Willow!
DeleteLove the pics! As for romance books ... duh! Of course it's romance, right? =P
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen Willow in such a loooooooong time ...
I haven't either - have to watch this weekend! :D
DeleteWillow, GREAT movie, what's to feel guilty about...lol!
ReplyDeleteLOL, my hubby hates it and makes fun of me for liking it. So it's a guilty pleasure around this household.
DeleteThat's a funny guilty pleasure! Like your choice of music.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in my blogfest. I tried to keep it simple.
Thanks for hosting! I enjoyed doing this!
DeleteDamn right 80's music! I'm thinking I need to play some Poison and REO and David Lee Roth and Night Ranger and Styx and Twisted Sister and Bon Jovi...basically the entire Rock of Ages (the musical) soundtrack, but using the originals.
ReplyDeleteAll great choices! :D
DeleteWillow is an excellent choice!
ReplyDeleteYes it is! :D
DeleteGreat choices. I enjoy fantasy, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Fantasy is pretty great!
Deletewillow... willow... hell yeah!
ReplyDeleteget the baby.....

Jeremy [Retro-Zombie]
Howlin' Wolf Records: On-Line Magazine
Yep, I've got the baby!!!!!
Delete:D
Did you really look like that? :D
Willow is great! I love all your choices. I'd only add the 70's to your classic rock category:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I considered 70's part of the Classic Rock title. But yes, it's great!
DeleteI love the 80's! Why didn't I list that? Great favorites.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenn! Huge 80's fan here!
DeleteHa! I love the hair band picture. Willow is awesome. Watch it all the time with the girls.
ReplyDeleteI've decided to watch it again this weekend when the hubby is working - he'll make fun of me if I watch it while he's here. :(
DeleteLove your choices for music and books!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Willow. I'll have to see what the fuss is about! :D
You have to see Willow! It's pretty great - and it has a young, cocky Val Kilmer. Nothing to hate about that!
DeleteWoohoo! Another romance lover!!! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat post. :)
Participant #125
You betcha! Thanks!
DeleteYou have to love those fantasy movies! Great choices.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I do love them!
DeleteOMGosh, Willow! One of my favorite fantasy movies ever.
ReplyDeleteAnd high five on the romance. I'm a junkie, too.
I know, it's pretty dang good! Hubby hates it though, so it's something I have to watch in private. :(
DeleteHigh five!
It's hard to choose just one genre. I have a soft spot for fantasy movies. My mom took me to see a ton of them when I was little.
ReplyDeleteCan't get enough of paranormal romance and urban fantasy books :).
I remember Willow from when I was a kid and many other fantasy movies, like Labyrinth that I still love. Good times!
DeleteWillow rocks! And you have brilliant taste. :) My guilty pleasure fantasy is Krull. I adore that film.
ReplyDeleteLOL, thanks! Yes, Willow does rock! Loved Krull, too!
DeleteWillow! I have seen it, or part of it, 30 times. lol Crazy rather unknown movie, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteNot into the romance stuff, but it surely proliferates so I know there is a great market for it.
Finally, love me some rock! I like it from the 50's to present, but prefer the 70's to early 90's. Dig the 80's hair bands. lol
It's one of those unknown movies that everyone I know my age has seen, but if I mention it to anyone under that age, they tend to look at me like I'm crazy. LOL.
DeleteMy friend just named her baby Alora after the baby, too. Gotta love that. :D
Yes, any kind of rock works for me. I've gone to a couple concerts lately of 70's and 80's bands that I had a blast at.
The 80s and 90s had some good rock. Of course I was growing up during that time, so a lot of it is tied to fun memories.
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too. I associate so many songs with little moments in my life. Every time I hear them, I'm like, "Oh wow, I just remembered that time when I..." Good stuff.
DeleteGreat rock in the 80s and 90s!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that movie...I will have to rent it.
I am a Val Kilmer fan... :D
Ooh, it's a good one. He's a fun character to watch in that one. And yay for the rock! :D
DeleteI agree with you on the 80s music. Last year I went out dancing with some friends, it was 80s night and we had a BLAST. Good times. And WILLOW! Makes me want to see that movie after all these years. (:
ReplyDeleteNights like that are always fun. I'm actually thinking of dressing 80's style for Halloween. :D
DeleteGreat choices! Fantasy movies are a very close second for me too. LOVE Willow.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is a good one, isn't it? :D
DeleteI've never even heard of Willow. I like fantasy, maybe I should check it out! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you should definitely check it out!
DeleteThat fantasy picture is sooo cool. I like your picks and the Willow poster is precious!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, I love that picture. It was a lucky find. :D
DeleteWillow brings me back. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. "Your mother was a lizard!" Haha.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yes, a great line! I still, to this day when I'm carrying my little ones around, like to say "I've got the babeeeeeeey!"
DeleteThe stock photo for music cracked me up! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to watch Willow again, as it's been quite awhile since I saw it. It needs to appear on Netflix!
