New on Wednesdays: Wanting to Read Wednesday #1

I'm doing something new.  Usually I do WAITING ON WEDNESDAY for books that I'm waiting to be released, but I have so many hundreds of books on my kindle right now and another hundred on my bookshelf that I still have yet to read.  So, I'm going to start posting books that are on my TBR pile that I'm wanting to read when I get a free moment.  In a way, I'm starting my own meme.

So, for week 1, the first book I'm wanting to read next is:

Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell.  I purchased this book at the RWA book signing the first night from the lovely author.

You may remember this photo from my RWA post.
I also went to half of her workshop on Editing, which was pretty fabulous, but I had to leave halfway through to get to a pitch session.  ;(

Here's the blurb for the book:

Big-hearted Chloe Camden is the queen of her universe until her best friend shreds her reputation and her school counselor axes her junior independent study project. Chloe is forced to take on a meaningful project in order to pass, and so she joins her school’s struggling radio station, where the other students don’t find her too queenly. Ostracized by her former BFs and struggling with her beloved Grams’s mental deterioration, lonely Chloe ends up hosting a call-in show that gets the station much-needed publicity and, in the end, trouble. She also befriends radio techie and loner Duncan Moore, a quiet soul with a romantic heart. On and off the air, Chloe faces her loneliness and helps others find the fun and joy in everyday life. Readers will fall in love with Chloe as she falls in love with the radio station and the misfits who call it home.

  2. Well, I did a Teaser Tuesday yesterday for "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline. That's my most recent acquisition. So...another book on the TBR pile? "Elemental" by Emily White is there; still haven't read past the second chapter. Just can't find the time.

  4. Good luck with the new format, and if we could only find the time to make the TBR list smaller :)
