A-Z Challenge: D - Dirty Dancing, Duran Duran, and No, Duh!

Welcome back!  Today's trip to the past is brought to you by the letter D:

Movie:  Dirty Dancing, which never ever gets old.

And for music there's Duran Duran and Hungry Like the Wolf.  Strangely enough, I wasn't even a fan of the band until the 90s when Ordinary World and Come Undone came out, but there's no denying that this is a classic 80s song.

And for some fun slang:  No, duh!
Synonymous for 'No shit.'

Come back tomorrow for the letter E.  :D

  1. "Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

Duran, Duran? All downhill after Girls on Film and it was a pretty low hill to begin with. I'll be back tomorrow.

  2. I must admit...I made fun of Hungry Like the Wolf back in the day...though I knew the song by heart.

Com Undone was one of my favorite songs...that I totally forgot about! I must go to you tube for a reminder.

  3. Yup classic 80's music. Dirty Dancing will be remembered forever. We miss you Patrick Swayze!

  4. No joke, still have never seen more than a few scenes of DIRTY DANCING.

  5. Dirty Dancing NEVER gets old! <3 and Duran Duran doesn't either lol

  6. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I still sometimes say "no, duh." ;)

Dirt Dancing is still my favorite movie.

    Happy Thursday!

  7. Oh man, my sister was the Queen of the term "No duh or No der". Used to drive me batty.

Dirty Dancing will always be a classic-it just makes you want to get up and dance. Preferably with someone who looks like Patrick Swayze. :)

And I lurved Duran Duran. I had all of their "tapes", lol.

  8. hehe! If I had a dollar for every time I said "No, duh!" I'd be a very rich lady today!

    Fun theme! Enjoy the challenge,

  9. I just go around saying "Duh" to my kids... I know, I'm terrible.
    Great film and band!

  10. Best movie ever. Love Dirty Dancing!

    Happy A through Z blogging!

  11. My parents didn't let me see Dirty Dancing when it came out, and I only finally saw it in my early twenties at university, when VH1 showed it. I've never understood why they were so liberal about what I could read, and yet didn't want me to see shows like 90210 or movies like Dirty Dancing.

  12. The thing I loved most about the 80s was the music. Duran Duran were awesome. Okay, I'm off to lead some 80s playlists on Spotify! :D

  13. I remember when they were new. Rio stands out for me. Probably the girl in the video.

  14. Hollywood wanted to do a DD remake and I was like OH THEY BETTER NOT.

I take this stuff seriously :D

  15. LOVE Dirty Dancing!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! NOBODY puts baby in the corner!!
