Thirteen Awesome Pics from my trip to Hawaii

Morning!  I know I haven't posted much personal stuff since I returned from my trip, but unfortunately, school/work started back up as soon as I returned, and I've been backed up on book cover orders (still am).  Regardless, I've cut out a slice of time to share thirteen (ehhh...plus 4) awesome pics from my trip to Kauai:

The one and only female Monk Seal near Kauai.  Monk Seals are nearing extinction, but the wonderful news was that this lady seal was pregnant - and hanging out in the cove below our balcony.

My family unit.  :D

The sunset from the Sunset Cruise I took with  my husband, bro-in-law and his wife.

My little monkey learning how to jump over waves with her auntie.

My In-Laws renewing their vows for their 50th wedding anniversary, with my little monkey hanging out close by.

Little Man and me, snuggling noses.  You know you love my awesome farmer's tan.  :D

Daddy and Little Man walking on the beach.

De facto SIL and I at the coffee plantation.

Little Man plus family saying hi to me while I'm up on my second floor balcony.

The cove below that balcony, filled with sea turtles.

The mouth of the cove, where DH and I would swim out to in order to scuba dive.

Little Man smiling at mommy after a day at the beach.

DH and I after the wedding ceremony.

Awesome blue and orange birds of paradise.

Pic of SIL and I on our sunset cruise - I'm soaking wet.  Somehow, I was the only one on the entire cruise who got hit by a wave.  That's okay, though, I'm tipsy enough that I don't care.

The wild hogs on our plantation train tour.  The kids got to feed them lots and lots of stale bagels and they loved it!

And this picture is just hilarious.  We went to a restaurant on our last night there, and they had coloring books and a Mr. Potato Head for the kids.  My son took of Spud's glasses, put them on his face (upside down) and wore them like this for the entire two hours we were there.  Everyone around us just thought it was the greatest thing.

Wanting To Read Wednesday: Unattainable by Madeline Sheehan

This next book is both a waiting to read and wanting to read, as I love these books!

I read a teaser of this book some time back that had me salivating for more.  It's Cage and Tegen's story, and considering where Madeline Sheehan last left off in Unbeautifully, I'd love to see what makes these two come back together.
I'd post a summary, but there isn't one yet.  ;(

So I'll just send you to her author's page on Goodreads, where you can see her other books in the series, because they're flipping awesome!  http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/6554504.Madeline_Sheehan

Teaser Tuesdays: Wounded by Jasinda Wilder

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

And, what am I reading right now?

Last line I read:
Derek hits his target.  I watch, the world sideways, as the muzzle-burst goes silent mid-bark.
Blurb:
War has taken everything from me. My family. My home. My innocence. In a country blasted by war and wracked by economic hardship, a young orphan girl like me has very few options when it comes to survival. Thus, I do what I must to live, to eat, and I try very hard to not consider the cost to my soul. My heart is empty, and my existence brutal.
The one impossibility in my life is love.
And then I meet HIM.
War is hell. It takes a chunk out of a man's very soul to do the kinds of things war demands of you. You live with fear, you live with guilt, and you live with nightmares. If you haven't been through it, there's no understanding it. War leaves no room for love, no room for tenderness or softness. You gotta be hard, closed off, and ready to fight every moment of every day. Lose focus for a split second, and you're dead.
Now the only thing that can save me is HER

Cover Reveal: Switched by Cassie Mae!

Yay! Tis time for another cover from Cassie Mae!

Cassie Mae redefines the New Adult genre with a novel that answers the eternal question: What do you do when you’re head over heels for your best friend’s guy?
Ever since high school, Kayla has been crazy for gorgeous football player Talon. But before she could muster the courage to tell him, he became a hot item with her beautiful BFF, Reagan. The only person who knows Kayla’s secret is Wesley, Talon’s best bud—and he’s got it bad for Reagan. Now they’re all in college together, hanging out 24/7. For Kayla, seeing the two lovebirds together is absolutely unbearable. So Kayla and Wesley hatch a plot to drive them apart before Talon has a chance to give Reagan the Christmas gift she’s been waiting for.
Soon enough, the once happy couple is fighting. Reagan suddenly can’t get enough of Wesley’s goofy sense of humor, and Talon seems to be paying more attention to Kayla than a guy who’s “only a friend” ever should. But just when everything seems to be falling into place, Kayla and Wesley accidentally spend a night together and discover a hitch in their plan they never considered: that switching partners may not lead to a perfect ending after all.

Cassie Mae is a full-time writer and mother from Utah. She loves being glued to the computer, thinking up new stories, and writing the day away while the kids run wild at her feet. When she finished her first novel, she started a blog that now gets more than five thousand hits a month. Her group blog is also dedicated to reaching out to aspiring authors by providing critiques and other marketing tools to help them succeed in the industry. When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with the youth in her community as a volleyball and basketball coach, or searching the house desperately for chocolate.
